Sarah is a human resources and organisational development professional of almost 30 years.
After completing her Masters in Human Resource Management she went on to hold operational and leadership roles across the private sector including financial services, pharmaceuticals and sales and marketing, each with a strong commercial focus. Her roles have included building relationships with colleges and schools to support graduate, apprenticeship and work experience schemes and deliver work-based learning. In the past 5 years Sarah has worked in the not-for-profit sector leading the People and Organisational Development team for Trust Housing, who provide social housing and care services across Scotland to families and later living customers, a role that she loves.
She has close family ties in Dumfries and Galloway and spends a lot of time in the area. Having lived all over the UK, she most recently returned to a more rural lifestyle and is now living just outside the region.
With a passion for, and expertise in the role that learning and development plays in helping people and organisations to fulfil their potential, Sarah was delighted to join the Dumfries & Galloway College Board of Management in December 2025. Sarah is a member of the Finance & General Purpose Committee and the Learning & Teaching Committee and has been approved as the Board Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Champion.
